Did I mention it before that I will posting something unrelated with this mont theme? Hehee ^~^
Heyhoo are you learning japanese ? I think not many japanese learners know about this test. Especially selftaught people or highschool-ers. And for people who choose Japanese Literature or that kind I think they are very similiar with this test, as this one is the regulations to graduate from university. *at least in my campus*
So, let me introduce a little about JLPT now. Japanese Language Proviciency Test or JLPT for short, or 日本語能力試験(Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken) is a standardized criterion-referenced test to evaluate and certify Japanese language proficiency for non-native speakers, covering language knowledge, reading ability, and listening ability. The test is held twice a year in Japan and selected countries (on the first Sunday of July and December)*.
The test is consist of 5 levels. level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4, and level 5. Level 5 is the lowest and level 1 is the highest. No Test Content Specification will be published as it is discouraged to study from kanji and vocabulary lists*. But if you want to know the questions type, you can check the sample questions here.
In Indonesia and from what I know in other countries too, JLPT test is administered by Japan Foundation. The registration for July test is from March-April, and for December test the registration is from August-September. This year, registration for December test is until 12 September 2014. So you don't have many time left.
This is what you got after buy the form, the form itself and the instructions book to fill the form. The form cost is 15.000 IDR.

And when you return the form you must pay again, based on what test level you will take.
For the result announcement you can check it online and if you passed the level you must take the certificate at where you register the test. And for people who not passed you will also get the score card. For December test the result announcement is around February, and for July test the result announcement is around September.
