[REVIEW] Etude House Play 101 Pencil 2014 Holiday Limited Edition #51 #55 #56 #59Sunday, April 03, 2016
Today I have review of multifunction product, so I decided to post this in Sunday. Since theme of Sunday post is anything but still related with beauty.
Etude House Play 101 Pencil is a multifunction product, which you can use it as eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick, blush on, concealer and more. If you know Pony and often watch her video on youtube, I bet you are so similar with this.
The regular product of Etude House Play 101 Pencil is available in 50 shade. Occasionally Etude House release the Play 101 Pencil in limited edition which usually have 10 shade and only available in short time. I decided to bought some shade of Etude House Play 101 Pencil Holiday Limited Edition which was released at the end of 2014. I get my order after 2015 New Year holiday. Sooo I already have this babies for long time. After long time try this, here come my review!
Etude House Play 101 Pencil 2014 Holiday Limited Edition is available in 10 shade and what type of pencil is stated in picture below. In this set they don't have matte type. I guess because it was released when it was so close with Christmas which so identic with sparkling things, that's why it's dominated with shimmer and glitter type!
I decided to bought this not because it's limited edition, but because the packaging which is more interesting compared to the regular one which is plain and boring. I mean look at that sparkling-y design.
That sparkling-y design is not only in the box but also in the pencil itself.
Information printed on the box are not only in in Korean but also in English. That's what I like from Etude House. If you see the PAO sign, you must stop use this products 18 months after first time you use this. If you keep continue using this after 18 months, take the risk by yours!
Look at the pencil body, it's not plain like the regular edition.
There is sharperner at another side of pencil. I rarely use this sharperner since this is twistable.
Etude House Play 101 Pencil 2014 Holiday Limited Edition #51 GlitterThe color is white with glitter. This one is the most difficult to blend. I usually use this in tearduct.
Etude House Play 101 Pencil 2014 Holiday Limited Edition #55 GlossyThe color is pure bright red. The most easy to blend. I usually use this as lipstick and blush on. I don't recommend use this as eyeshadow or eyeliner because it feels a bit oily.
Etude House Play 101 Pencil 2014 Holiday Limited Edition #56 CreamyThe color is burgundy red. The second product which easy to blend among 4 products I have. To be honest I think this is more suitable as matte, because it's not as creamy as what's in my opinion of creamy. I usually use this as lipstick, blush on, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. When use this as blush on and eyeshadow I need more effort to blend it.
Etude House Play 101 Pencil 2014 Holiday Limited Edition #59 Shimmering
The color is shimmery creamy beige. When you apply it make sure to blend it right away, because once it set it won't budge. I usually use this in tearduct also as eyeshadow.
Here are the swatch from left to right. They are glide on easily and so pigmented no need base! The most easily faded is #55 Glossy. The rest are not easily smudging and will go away only if you clean it with makeup remover.
RATING : 5/5
Overall, I think this product is worth to try because it's so pigmented. Some color can stay all day long. If you missing out this limited edition series, you shouldn'r regret it because some color in this series are available in the regular one. My suggestion if you live in Indonesia better by this from online shop because the price in counter is overpriced in my opinion.
